Die Einbeziehung von Erkenntnissen aus Nachbardisziplinen wie der Kriminologie und dem Völkerstrafrecht rundet die Darstellung ab. Der Großkommentar gibt den aktuellen Erkenntnisstand in Rechtsprechung und Literatur vollständig wieder und zeigt Wege zur Lösung auch stark umstrittener sowie komplexer Rechtsfragen auf. Er bietet damit Hilfe bei der Lösung selbst entlegener Probleme, die in anderen Werken kaum berücksichtigt werden.
